Introduction Wherever one has been born and raised throughout the world, prostitution has always been prevalent. Prostitution is a worldwide dilemma that occurs on a day-to-day basis with the opposite sex, as well as with the same sex. Prostitution, as many describe it, is the world s oldest profession, which is defined as the exchange of sex for money demonstrating that it has always existed and will continue to exist (Shannon, 2010, p.1388). Explanation of Prostitution The exchange of sexual services for monetary considerations, the act that is referred to as â€Å"prostitution† or â€Å"sex work† that is done by prostitutes or sex workers (Corriveau Greco, 2014, p.347).
